Colonel Alec Freeman

We know very little concerning Freeman. The pilot script called for an Australian and general consensus is that Freeman is, in fact, Australian naturalized to Britain. He is several years older than Straker, a combat pilot with intelligence experience. At the time of his recruitment to SHADO in 1971, he was an RAF colonel.

Born in Australia in 1933, moved to Great Britain as a teenager or college student. Attended University, joined the RAF in about 1955. May have obtained combat flying experience in the Middle East, in counter-insurgency operations, and/or in Viet Nam, with the Australian forces and/or intelligence operations.
